Dr. Chetan Shah is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.  He treats both children and adults.  His special interests lie in medical as well as surgical management of Chronic Sinusitis (specializing in functional endoscopic sinus surgery without the need for packing the nose with gauze), vertigo / dizziness and balance disorders as well as hearing loss. Dr. Shah is highly referred by most of the local pediatricians in Mercer County for tonsil removal and placement of tubes in the ears for chronic ears infections in children.  

Dr. Shah received his Bachelor’s degree as well as Medical Degree in a six year combined BA / MD program with Rutgers and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey and then went on to UMDNJ - Newark for his surgical training.  

Dr. Shah is also the co-author of several journal articles and he has presented this work at national ENT conferences.

Dr. Shah has been consistently ranked in New Jersey Monthly as a Top Doctor in 2012, 2013 and 2014. The rankings are awarded based on recommendations from physicians and health care professionals in all specialties.

A graduate of NJIT with an electrical engineering and a pre-med at Rutgers University, Rakesh B. Patel, MD went on to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) – New Jersey Medical School.  Dr. Patel completed his Post-Doctoral training as Chief Resident in 

Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS) at UMDNJ.  He completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeryaccredited by the AAFPRS.  Dr. Patel is double board certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (2003-2013) and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery as well as being a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

As a result of his many years of training, he was personally selected for the coveted position as Director of Facial Plastic andReconstructive Surgery training for the Montefiore Residency Program (OHNS) in New York (2002-2005), and for the Otolaryngology department at UMDNJ (2008-2009).  Dr. Patel’s technical expertise and innovations in facial cosmesis earned him the 2005 and 2009 Teacher of the Year award from both universities residency programs.

Dr. Samir Undavia is fellowship trained and double board certified in both Facial Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology. He provides comprehensive ear, nose and throat care and is an expert in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. 

Dr. Undavia earned his medical degree from New York Medical College.  He then completed a residency in Otolaryngology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, where he was elected Administrative Chief Resident and awarded Resident Teacher of the Year.  He then completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the world-renowned Texas Medical Center at the University of Texas in Houston.  During this time he focused exclusively on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and neck, with additional emphasis on primary and revision rhinoplasty.

Dr. Undavia has published numerous articles in peer reviewed scientific journals.  Recently, he has published on the closure of septal perforations, and on the deprojections of the nasal tip in revision rhinoplasty.  He has also contributed to educational publications, and has presented his work nationally.  Dr. Undavia was recently honored with an Exemplary Teaching Attending Award in the Department of Internal Medicine at Capital Health.

Dr. Nishant Reddy is an otolaryngologist specializing in the medical and surgical management of various diseases of the head and neck including nose and sinus disorders, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, ear infections, dizziness, voice and swallowing disorders, throat infections, sleep apnea, allergies, salivary gland disorders, and head and neck cancer. Dr. Michael Ondik is double board certified in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.  He attended Colgate University and graduated cum laude with a double major in molecular biology and theater.  He graduated with Honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical School and continued his training at Penn State Hershey Medical Center in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery.  Following residency he completed a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at the University of Missouri.  He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), a well-respected medical school honor society, and has published over 15 paper and book chapters in facial plastic and head and neck surgery.

Dr. Ondik practices general ENT (disorders of the ear, nose, sinuses, throat and allergy) and performs all aspects of facial reconstructive and cosmetic surgery including: face and neck lifting, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, and facial reconstruction after skin cancer.  He stresses a personable and easygoing approach to working with his patients.  His attention to detail shows in every aspect of his work.

Irene Cohen, AuD, received her bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with highest honors, summa cum laude, at Touro College. She went on to earn her doctorate in Audiology at Montclair State University, where she was inducted into Alpha Epsilon Lamda for academic excellence. Dr. Cohen's interest in diagnostics led her to choose externships at large medical facilities including University Hospital, Saint Barnabas Medical Center, and JFK Johnson Medical Center.

At Princeton Eye and Ear, Dr. Cohen serves patients with varying otologic disorder through audiologic evaluations, hearing aid fittings and adjustments, and vestibular assessment and treatment. Dr. Cohen is committed to reducing the impact of hearing loss on quality of life with the use of amplification and aural rehabilitation.

Angela Crast, AuD, CCC-A obtained her doctorate of audiology from the University at Buffalo after considerable clinical experiences in several private practices and community clinics in Western and Northern New York. Originally a native of Syracuse, NY, Angela received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Syracuse University in 2012. She currently holds New Jersey licensure in audiology and hearing aid dispensing as well as national certification from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. 

In addition to multilingual audiologic evaluation and working with hearing aids, her clinical focus has been tinnitus management in patients with concurrent hearing loss. Dr. Crast enjoys serving a diverse patient base spanning all backgrounds and many ages and she is committed to providing quality evidence-based care to her patients.

 


 

Florence Belhassen, AuD

Florence Belhassen, AuD attended Touro College and received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  She continued on and received her Doctorate in Audiology from Montclair State University in May 2016. While enrolled in her doctoral program, Dr. Belhassen completed internship rotations at the on-campus clinic and externship rotations at various sites including Jersey Shore University Medical Center and several private practice and ENT offices in New Jersey. She gained experience performing comprehensive audiologic evaluations and dispensing hearing aids to the pediatric, adult and geriatric populations.

Dr. Belhassen currently holds a license to practice audiology and dispense hearing aids in the state of New Jersey. She takes pride in providing her patients with the best possible care and treatment for hearing loss in order to improve their quality of life and looks forward to serving her community as a member of the audiology team at Princeton Eye and Ear.
